According to Google, AI can solve complex problems and has the potential to transform entire industries, which means it's crucial that AI reflects a diverse range of human perspectives and needs. Google's mission is to use AI in all aspects of life, including healthcare, finance, retail, and education.
To help everyone understand how AI can solve challenging problems, Google has created a resource called ‘Learn with Google AI’. This site provides ways to learn core Machine Learning (ML) concepts, develop and hone one’s ML skills, and apply ML to real-world problems. From deep learning experts looking for advanced tutorials and materials on TensorFlow, to people who want to take their first steps with AI, anyone looking for educational content from ML experts at Google.
Learn with Google AI also features a new free course called Machine Learning Crash Course (MLCC). The course provides exercises, interactive visualisations, and instructional videos that anyone can use to learn and practice ML concepts.
Google’s engineering education team originally developed this fast-paced, practical introduction to ML fundamentals for Googlers. So far, more than 18,000 Google employees have enrolled in MLCC, applying lessons from the course to enhance camera calibration for Daydream devices, build virtual reality for Google Earth, and improve streaming quality at YouTube. MLCC's success at Google inspired them to make it available to everyone.
There’s more to come from Learn with Google AI, including additional courses and documentation. With this initiative, Google wants to continue to be a leader in AI like Amazon.

How to enroll for Google Machine Learning course? What are the requirements?

Those who are interested can access the Google Machine Learning course at developers.google.com/machine-learning/crash-course/.  While the course is free for all, there are some pre-requisites before taking up an understanding of how to code for machine learning. Google’s course page says a mastery of introductory level of algebra is a must for those who wish to sign up for this course. This includes understanding of variables and coefficients, linear equations, graphs of functions, and histograms. Also familiarity with advanced math concepts such as logarithms and derivatives will be helpful, though it is not compulsory.
Additionally a knowledge of programming basics, and some experience coding in Python are also required. Google says those enrolling should be comfortable reading and writing Python code since the exercises in the course in the same programming language. The course will have lectures from Google’s AI experts, along with exercises and access to some material as well.
The Google course on Machine Learning was originally built for the company’s own employees and so far over 18,000 employees in the company have enrolled in this MLCC course. Google says that seeing the program’s success in-house is what inspired them to make it available to everyone.
